PROSTATE CANCER. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, and luckily it’s a slow growing cancer. By the age of 50 most men have some non-life threatening, cancerous prostate cells, although they are asymptomatic and may never know it unless they are screened Prevention is the Best Cure Maintain a well-rounded exercise plan, handle your stress, and optimize your vitamin D3 levels. Increase omega-3 fatty acids, especially from fish oils and other sources. Minimize exposure to plastics. Plastics contain endocrine (hormonal) disruptors that can lead to cancer – especially breast and prostate cancers. Eat a diet rich in multi-colored whole, organic fruits and vegetables. Include raw pumpkin seeds high in zinc and lots of lycopene found in cooked tomatoes. A 2009 study recommends tomatoes, cauliflower, broccoli and green tea. Maintain an active sex life, but get plenty of sleep. Vitamin C supplementationis imperative as the body does not produce its own vitamin C. A maintenance dose of 500 to 1000 milligrams daily is recommended.
